Purpose
We are looking for a Junior RPA Developer to join our team in Cape Town. Design, develop, and deliver lowcost, innovative, and scalable automation solutions that address real business pain points. Work within a rapidturnaround, tactical team focused on solving operational bottlenecks using opensource tools, cloud services, and bestpractice automation frameworks.
Tasks include:
Develop automation solutions using strong Python programming skills, ensuring clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Build and enhance RPA workflows using recognised RPA frameworks (e.g. AA360, Power Automate, and scriptingbased automations), aligned with team standards and governance.
Design and implement cloudbased components and integrations (e.g. AWS Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge, APIs) to support scalable, serverless automation.
Participate in Evaluate → Explore → Ideate cycles.
Implement exception handling, logging, and audit trails to support operational monitoring and compliance.
Contribute to building reusable, configurable, and standardised components for wider adoption across Core Operations.
Follow agile, sprintbased development with strong version control, documentation, and testing practices.
Requirements:
Strong Python development capability (API integration, data transformation, scripting).
Experience with RPA tools and/or automation frameworks.
Familiarity with AWS serverless services or similar cloud environments (advantageous).
Ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
Understanding of process automation design principles (rulesbased logic, orchestration, exception flows).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly translate ideas into working prototypes.
Preferred (Nice to have)
Knowledge of Power Automate for tactical userdriven automation.
Exposure to operational or financial process automation.
Ability to produce process diagrams, mockups, and lightweight wireframes.
